The Christmas market to circle in Spelthorne this year is in Ashford, not Staines. Ashford Wide’s Christmas Market is on Wednesday 2 December 2026, 5pm to 8pm, on Church Road, with more than 50 stalls and a free Santa’s grotto. Staines town centre has not announced its own festive market yet. Last year’s ran at Two Rivers from mid-November into January, and we will add this year’s dates when they are published.

Ashford Wide Christmas Market, Wednesday 2 December

Ashford Wide, the volunteer community group for Ashford in Middlesex, has fixed its market for Wednesday 2 December 2026, 5pm to 8pm, on Church Road. Its own listing promises:

  • more than 50 market stalls selling gifts, crafts and seasonal food and drink
  • live music and entertainment through the evening
  • mulled wine, hot chocolate and festive food
  • a visit from Santa and a free Santa’s grotto
  • lit streets

That is up from the “over 40 stalls” of the 2025 market, which ran on Wednesday 3 December with carol singing, children’s rides, face painting and the grotto in Ashford Library (Spelthorne Borough Council, events this Christmas, still showing 2025).

Getting there. Ashford Wide says some roads and parking spaces will be closed to traffic on the day, and that the town centre is reachable by train, bus and on foot from the town’s car parks. The nearest station is Ashford, listed by National Rail as Ashford (Surrey). Running a stall? Ashford Wide is taking stallholder applications through a form on the same page. Its estimated plot fees: £50 standard, £75 for cold food, cafés or a small alcohol vendor, £125 desserts, £150 hot food or a bar, plus £60 to hire a commercial gazebo and £10 for electricity for hot food. You need in-date public liability insurance, and it does not accept MLM sellers.

Shepperton Big Tree Night, Wednesday 9 December

A week later, Shepperton High Street closes to traffic from 4pm for Big Tree Night, and the stalls open at 5pm, running until 8.30pm. Staines: last year’s markets, this year’s dates still to come

Nothing for Christmas 2026 is listed yet for Staines town centre beyond the Christmas Parade on Sunday 22 November. What ran last year, from the organisers’ own listings on Visit Staines:

  • Two Rivers Christmas Market Stalls, Saturday 15 November 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026, at Two Rivers. Bratwurst and mulled wine, churros and doughnuts, and local traders selling personalised decorations, hats, gloves and scarves, plus a cheese stall. Open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm, Sunday 10.30am to 5pm (Visit Staines).
  • Staines Market Christmas Event, Saturday 20 December 2025, 11am to 3pm, on the High Street: Christmas hook-a-duck, penguin skittles and other family games (Visit Staines).
  • Staines Prep School Winter Market, Saturday 6 December 2025, 1.30pm to 4.30pm, open to all, with stalls, games and Santa (Visit Staines).
