Christmas Day lunch near Staines costs £60.95 to £140 a head at nine pubs and hotels, from the Swan to Great Fosters. 2026 prices, child rates and deposits.
For Christmas Day in Staines, most people look first at the two town pubs: the Swan Hotel on the river at the Hythe (£110 a head) and the Bells on Church Street (£100). For a grander lunch, Great Fosters in Egham charges £140 in its Tithe Barn, and the lowest prices are at the Ashford pubs, from £60.95 at the Freeman Arms. Every entry was checked against the venue’s own site on 2 November 2026.
We have not eaten at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry gives the price on the venue’s own 2026 Christmas page or menu, what it includes, and what it says about deposits and booking, plus its Food Standards Agency (FSA) hygiene rating. Prices are per person and exclude any service charge unless we say otherwise. Christmas Day 2026 is a Friday, and no trains run from Staines, Ashford, Sunbury or Shepperton that day, so plan a lift or a taxi (Christmas trains).
Some tables have already gone. The Three Horseshoes at Laleham says its restaurant is fully booked for Christmas Day, though the bar opens from 12pm to 2.30pm for drinks. The Kingfisher on Chertsey Bridge Road has a Christmas Day menu and opens from 11.30am to 6pm, but its menu does not print a price, so it is not listed below.

How we chose
These are the pubs, hotels and restaurants in and around Staines that publish a 2026 Christmas price on their own website, checked on 2 November 2026. We read each venue’s Christmas page or menu and took the hygiene ratings from the Food Standards Agency register (Spelthorne for the Shepperton, Sunbury, Ashford and Church Street venues; Runnymede for the Swan and Great Fosters). Nothing rated below 3 is included. We left out places whose Christmas Day menu carries no price online, and hotels that only sell Christmas as a residential package. Prices can change and tables sell out, so check with the venue before you go.
